Approximately 450 people will suffer sudden cardiac arrest today. No one sees it coming. It can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. 92% will die before they reach a hospital, because many people don’t know how to perform Hands Only CPR before paramedics arrive.
The minutes before an ambulance arrives can mean the difference between life and death. CPR keeps blood flow to the brain until help arrives, increasing a victim’s chance of survival. Bystander CPR can DOUBLE, even TRIPLE, a victim’s chance of survival. But only if there’s someone to perform it.
Time loss IS brain loss.
For Throne, the number 13 represents upheaval, breaking new ground, and the making of one’s own luck. The number 13 is a focal point for the AHA as well. Every person trained in Hands Only CPR, on average will go on to educate 13 more people in this life-saving skill.
Every dollar will go to the American Heart Association.
